This advanced level 6-week course will develop your fundamental skills and techniques used to create your own complex pieces. Projects you will create through detailed planning, demonstrations and one-on-one hands-on instruction will include advanced techniques of metal forming, soldering, chain making and stone setting.
This course includes copper and a gemstone. Sterling silver is available to purchase, or you may wish to use your own. For the stone-setting project, you may bring your own and will be assessed during the planning stage of your project. Suggestions are round or oval cabochon cuts.
Please bring with you: a notebook, pen, dust mask, safety glasses, an apron and a storage container to keep your ongoing projects.
You must wear closed-toe shoes, jeans and long hair tied back.
